چکیده
The most important part of the membrane synthesis process so that it has desired pores is solidification membrane, begins with a change from one liquid phase into two phases (liquid-liquid demixing). At certain period during demixing, polymer-rich solidifies; thus, dense matrix formed. Parameters determine mechanism formation are based on thermodynamics including separation Solvent-Polymer-Non-solvent which explained through diagram (Flory-Huggins Theory). This study aims to initial prediction CA-PBS membranes various solvents used and variations non-solvents in best system, proven by its characteristics performance when applied desalination include ternary diagrams using cloud point data, solubility parameters Hansesn solubility, solvent-non-solvent diffusivity Tyn Calus Equation approach morphological proofing SEM photos, resulting salt rejection permeate flux. results difference can be predicted DMF solvent reduce pore size eliminate voids macrovoids morphology.

Pebax-Modified Cellulose Acetate Membrane for CO2/N2 Separation
Carbon dioxide (CO2) release from the exhaust gas streams of power plants that burn fossil fuels contributes the most emission of this gas, which includes more than half of the greenhouse effects. Thus, the separation of CO2 from exhaust gases is one of the main environmental concerns. Membrane technology, due to many advantages, has attracted many research attentions among the various gas sepa...
متن کاملNanodimensional AlMCM-41 material for adsorption of dyes: Thermodynamic and kinetic studies
AlMCM-41 was applied for adsorption of methylene blue (MB) and auramine (AU) in single and binary component systems. In the single component systems, AlMCM-41 represents higher adsorption capacity for MB than AU with the maximal adsorption capacity of 2.07×10−4 and 1.15×10−4 mol/g at 25 ˚C for MB and AU, respectively. In the binary component system, MB and AU exhibit compe...
متن کاملEquilibrium, kinetic and thermodynamic studies on the adsorption of thiocyanate by Steel slag in an Aqueous System
The use of steel slag in an adsorption process for the removal of thiocyanate has been studied for the first time. Steel slag, a readily available by-product of the steel industry, can be a suitable candidate for the study of the adsorption of thiocyanate found in coke oven effluent. The parameters considered for adsorption studies were pH, initial concentration, temperature, and the amount of ...
متن کاملRelease Kinetic Studies of Aspirin Microcapsules from Ethyl Cellulose, Cellulose Acetate Phthalate and their Mixtures by Emulsion Solvent Evaporation Method
The present study was oriented towards microencapsulation of aspirin and the study of its release kinetics. The desired encapsulation was achieved by emulsion solvent evaporation method using ethyl cellulose (EC), cellulose acetate phthalate (CAP) and their mixture (1:1) of polymeric constituents. Characterization of the formulations was performed by size, shape, drug loading efficiency and in-...
